The irony does make me lawl with extreme intensity though considering many of these 'ideas' are not implemented like the various factions probably desire considering everly platform in the field be it a console or PC doesn't conform to a regular set of rules. Software companies are meant to be seperate and honestly I hope another physics middleware group comes along and ousts PhysX and Havok off their high pedestals and remains independent. DAAMIT is a similar situation, but it's now bearing fruit, plus that is a hardware related thing anyways.

But I do believe in freedom of choice, so I'm happy to see all the options out there for so many things but the fact that many of these corporations went out and bought various software firms (Intel and Havok, Nvidia and PhysX) doesn't make me happy.
